Whisky Distilleries

The whiskies of Scotland fall into two categories - grain and malt. The malt whiskies are divided into four groups according to their geographical location. These are: the Highland malts, to be found north of an imaginary line from Dundee in the east to Greenock in the west; the Lowland malts, to be found south of that line; the Islay malts, to be found on the island of that name; and the Campbeltown malts, to be found in the town of that name in the Mull of Kintyre.
